The Time Has Come …

It was almost two years ago when I set up this website with the intention of using it for publishing my music.

Now, for anyone who has visited my Home or About pages , you may already know that I'm a singer-songwriter. But what you may not know is that I have written hundreds of songs. You see, ... I have essentially been in hobbyist mode for a long time.

Some changes and challenges had come into my life since I put up this site. All during this time, I noticed that these new growth opportunities needed more and more of my time, attention, and energy. Eventually, I realized I needed to focus fully on those challenges. ...Challenges that I was happy to face, but then, looking forward, I knew felt in my heart that the time would eventually come when I would transition into a new chapter in my life. A chapter where I would begin to focus on my music.

That time has come...

So, at this time, I hereby announce that I will soon be recording my music and publishing it on the Internet. For those of you who have been waiting and watching for such an announcement, I wish to thank you for your patience.

This new chapter in my life is taking some getting used to. So, I ask you for your continued patience and support as I transition into this new adventure.

I am currently in the process of learning about new software programs and social media platforms, plus developing knowledge and skill in hardware. I will also be delving further into the challenges and opportunities of being a contemporary songwriter working in the modern age. This is a time where technology can leverage the playing field for an independent artist--or it thwart his or her ability to succeed.

With that said, I must say that I feel optimistic and excited at the outset of this journey I am about to take. As far as a timeline is concerned, I am hoping to publish my first song by the end of January. I remain confident and calm at the outset, yet I am excited to get the production process started.

Another aspect of this process that I am equally excited about is the blogging. This is where I will delve into the the heart of each song, giving readers an inside scoop of what the song is about. The wonderful thing about art is the subjective inference each art lover can have in their own heart and mind as they experience the art. Yet, many art lovers--and in this case, music lovers--like to know about the artist's creative process.

Listeners will have the opportunity here to dive into my music a bit deeper as I expound on things like the creative process, intention, initial inspiration, musical and lyrical development, and the spiritual and emotional strings the song may tug at. I will also talk about nuggets of what I hope listeners will take away from the song, which may not already be evident in the words and music.

In some cases, the message will come through loud and clear. However, I use symbolism in many of my songs. So, listeners may initially hear one message on the first listen, then hear numerous lyrical undertones on a deeper level during subsequent listens.

Well, I hope this has whet your appetite for what I like to call a "New kind of 'inspirational.'"

  • ...Music that looks into the heart of the Christian experience--that is, the challenges and blessings of mortality against the backdrop of the hope that Christ offers to all of us.
  • ...Music that is intended to touch the heart, lift the spirit, and move the soul in a positive way.

Again, thank you for your patience and support. Please check-in soon at this site for information on my music.

I am looking forward to a successful year, and believe 2019 will be a great and exciting chapter in my life. I hope it will be a great year for you, too!

God bless!
